The Society holds a number of regular events during the year. Most events are held in the Town Hall. The web site will be updated as soon as the dates and details are known.

The main events of the year are:

The Annual General Meeting (normally held in April) at which the committee is elected and the annual accounts approved. We also usually have an invited speaker to talk on a topical subject.

The Annual Public Lecture (normally held in June) at which eminent speakers talk about local environmental issues of concern.

Open House days (end-September) at which many buildings in the borough are open to the public and walks are arranged.

The Annual Award Ceremony (normally held in October /November). The winners of the Annual Award are presented with certificates by an invited guest.

You are very welcome to attend the Executive Committee meeting (normally on the first Thursday of even numbered months), or one of the sub-committees on Communications or Environment. You will be able to participate, bring up any concerns or ideas, or just observe if you prefer. Find out more at the AGM, or email us for more information.
